Evangelism is one of the commands Jesus gave His disciples and just because we are living nearly two thousand years after the command was given, we are not excused from it. Jesus said "Go into all the world and preach the gospel, and make disciples of all men."

The members at South Ruislip Christian Fellowship take this command seriously; so much so that some of them go to the other side of the world to obey. Late in 2003 one of our members returned from Papua New Guinea, and 2004 saw the return of one from Ghana and one from India. A further member has made three visits to Belarus. We also support a couple in South Africa, and others working with young people in London. Another couple have recently left us for Uganda, after training with BMS World Mission, and they have been sending us their latest news. They also post their news on the BMS World Mission website.

Stewart and Carol have e-mailed us with their latest news and Jean keeps us up-to-date with the latest news from Papua New Guinea. She has also prepared a report on the 50th anniversary celebrations in PNG as well as her previous Jottings June 2007, December 2007 and April 2008; also an account of her Christmas in 1980 and Sivini's story. Jean has passed on a message she has received from friends in PNG about the cyclone which hit the area.
