Phil Platt is our Full-time Elder/Pastor. He and his wife Liz have three sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law. Their youngest is still at school.

Phil was born in Perivale and grew up in Greenford. He became a Christian at 8 years old and attended Greenford Gospel Church until going up to University.

He obtained a degree in Mathematics and met Liz at Manchester University, and after a years teacher training in Liverpool, he got a job in Eltham, SE London.

Phil & Liz married in 1973 and moved into a flat and then a house in Chislehurst. They both taught in Eltham. Phil was involved in early examinations in Computer Studies. In this time they were involved in running a Scripture Union Beach Mission at Walton-on-Naze in Essex and were leaders for some years. They also ran a youth group and were very involved with Court Farm Evangelical Church, Mottingham.

In 1984 they moved to South Ruislip and Phil took up a Head of Department Post in Hillingdon. He joined Deane Avenue Evangelical Church and later became an elder. In 2004, he and Liz believed God was calling them to Full-time service at the same time as Brian Taylor was called to serve in Carpenders Park. Phil became pastor/Elder on 1st January 2005.
